Describe the TimeRide GO! monastery Andechs in one sentence:
On the trail of the art of brewing at Andechs Monastery: where tradition meets virtual reality.
What will be the highlight of TimeRide GO! in 2025?
Our brewery tours are on offer every day. The VR glasses not only let you look in front of the large, modern tanks, but also inside. Afterwards, you can take part in a beer tasting with Andechs beers to suit your taste.
What makes a guided tour with TimeRide GO! at the Klosterbrauerei Andechs so special?
A mixture of a guided tour with one of our guides plus the visualization through the VR glasses gives you a completely new impression of the art of brewing beer and its development over the centuries. After our guide has introduced you to each step of the brewing process with explanations and taken you into the brewery premises, you put on the VR glasses at each station and see the previously described process in front of your own eyes. After this tour, no question will remain unanswered and you will have a visual representation in your head of how the delicious Andechs beer is made.
How much time should I allow for a TimeRide GO! tour of the Andechs monastery brewery?
On the one hand, we only offer a guided tour of the brewery with VR glasses, which lasts 45 minutes. On the other hand, you can also choose to join us for a beer tasting and experience the delicious, traditional beer for yourself in a further 45 minutes. You should therefore plan 90 minutes for both together.
What age group is TimeRide GO! Klosterbrauerei Andechs suitable for?
VR glasses are only permitted from the age of 6. As we also offer non-alcoholic options for beer tasting, the entire tour is suitable for everyone aged 6 and over.
Apart from the brewery in Andechs (or nearby), what else should you have seen?
The entire Holy Mountain in Andechs is well worth a visit. It is a place of pilgrimage - the pilgrimage church is a real highlight. There is a small monastery store and the Bräustüberl and Klostergasthof are two options for rounding off the excursion with a delicious meal. There are also opportunities for a nice walk.
Typically Bavarian?
Bavaria and Bavarian beer belong together like pizza and Italy.
