S-Bahn Birthday Tour Day 5: NaTour

Munich is green and offers many places for recreation.

The fifth stop on our birthday TOUR takes us to quite idyllic places. Take the S-Bahn, ride a few stations and you can recharge your batteries with great hikes.

Mangfalltal: S-Bahn Stop Kreuzstraße

A hike through the Teufelsgraben into the Mangfall Valley. The steeply cut Mangfall with its crystal clear water is not only a scenic highlight in the southeast of Munich, but is also of special geological interest. From Kreuzstraße you can hike through the Teufelsgraben to the Mangfallknie and on to Valley and the Maxlmühle. You can find a detailed tour description on this website.

Kloster Andechs: S-Bahn Stop Herrsching

The path to the monastery leads from Herrsching with only a slight incline through a beautiful primeval forest along the Kienbach stream through the Kiental valley. Even with smaller children, this hike is good to go. Arrived at the destination at the monastery Andechs, not only the children will be happy. (The monastery is famous for its beer).
