In which tariff zones is the CityTourCard Munich valid?

The CityTourCard Munich is available for the tariff zones Zone M and Zone M-6. If you only want to use public transport in the city center, Zone M is sufficient. However, if you want to explore the surrounding area of Munich (e.g. Dachau, Ammersee, Starnberger See, Allianz Arena), or need a transfer from or to the airport, then you need the fare zone M-6.

Do you have to be together the whole time for the group ticket?

Each group ticket has a name on it, the name of the main user of the group. The main user can always travel with this ticket, even alone. If you are not the main user, you can use the ticket ONLY in his company and never alone. Group tickets purchased at the ticket machine or at the Customer Center are available exactly ONCE. The person who inserts the ticket is in this case the main user and therefore your travel companion on the train.
