One mountain - many possibilities

Take the cog railroad or cable car up to one of Bavaria's most beautiful and varied panoramic peaks, the 1,838 m high Wendelstein. There is plenty to discover and experience around the mountain station: From Germany's highest church to the show cave in the belly of the mountain, panorama trail, observatory and much more.

In winter, the Wendelstein often scores with a fabulous view of the snow-covered Central Alps and a unique panorama from the Großglockner to the Zugspitze. The culinary pampering program is provided by the Wendelsteinhaus restaurant team.

Round trip with Wendelstein crossing

Embark on the "Great Wendelstein Round Trip" and get to know both the Rosenheim and Miesbach sides of the mountain:From Munich, take the BRB train to Brannenburg (Munich-Ro-Kufstein route), then walk along a varied footpath to the valley station of the cog railroad in approx. 30 minutes, which will take you comfortably along the picturesque route to high alpine terrain. After an eventful day on the mountain, take the cable car down to Bayrischzell. From the valley station it is only a 5-minute walk to the BRB stop Osterhofen (Bayrischzell-Munich line) and from there it's back to Munich. Of course, the round trip is also possible the other way round.
