The Blomberg - a (toboggan) mountain for everyone
Whether winter tobogganing, summer tobogganing, night tobogganing or simply attending a tobogganing school - everything is possible on the Blomberg near Bad Tölz. In terms of fame, the Blomberg is in no way inferior to the world-famous Zugspitze - at least in Bavaria. You can tell by the fact that both the people of Munich and, quite rightly, the people of Bad Tölz call it their local mountain.
For some, the Blomberg is a place of peace and relaxation, others find their sporting challenge here, but also plenty of action, fun and entertainment - for everyone, of all ages.
The people of Tölz call it the "little jack-of-all-trades in the Tölz region" on its website and it really is. But it is "world-famous" above all for its tobogganing opportunities, and here you can see the top 5 of our Blomberg tobogganing highlights.

Winter tobogganing on the Blomberg
Championships were once held here, but now the winter toboggan run is "just" the most beautiful natural toboggan run in the world. Depending on the level of difficulty (easy, medium, difficult), you can speed down up to 5 km from the mountain station via the middle station to the valley. It's a fast ride through the snowy winter wonderland of Tölz's local mountain.
You can get up to the middle station or the mountain station at the Blomberghaus with the Blombergbahn or on foot.
Tip: There are over 300 toboggans available for hire at the valley station.
Night tobogganing on the Blomberg
The natural toboggan run is floodlit from the middle station, so if you dare, you can toboggan down in the dark. But take care of yourself.
The Blombergblitz is safer and a year-round night-time tobogganing experience.
Blombergblitz
The Blombergblitz takes you down the all-weather toboggan run at speeds of up to 40 km/h all year round. Children from the age of 8 are allowed to use the Blombergblitz on their own. Night tobogganing is possible on Fridays and Saturdays.
Blomberg Classic summer toboggan run
As the name suggests, there is also a classic summer toboggan run on the Blomberg - an action-packed 1200m toboggan run with lots of bends and chicanes, simply wonderful.
Tobogganing school on the Blomberg
Honestly, we haven't visited this school ourselves. But we think it's great that it exists.
The Blomberg also takes care of your physical well-being - upstairs in the Blomberghaus and downstairs in the Blombergtenne.
All detailed information on opening times and offers can be found on the website of the Department of Tourism and Culture of the City of Bad Tölz.
