We ask, our partners answer. Today with the Bavarian State Garden Show Kirchheim. 145 days of summer fun for families, nature lovers and culture enthusiasts from May to October 2024! More than 90 exhibition contributions and over 2,500 events await you.

Describe the Bavarian State Garden Show Kirchheim in one sentence:

Garden, wilderness, water, forest and meadow: The Landesgartenschau Kirchheim 2024 offers the full diversity of nature and a great program of exhibitions and events for an unforgettable summer right on the city's doorstep.

What should you definitely see at the State Garden Show?

Everything 😉. Jokes aside, the area is approx. 1 km long from north to south and can easily be explored in one day. You can end the evening with a glass of Landesgartenschau wine and some nice music by the park lake.

For which target group is the State Garden Show suitable?

For everyone who likes to be outdoors, loves nature, has a sense of culture, dance and music, wants to pass the time with children or grandchildren, is curious about new gardening and planting trends, wants to live (more) sustainably, wants to take part in workshops, visit playgrounds or enjoy the tranquillity of nature. In short: for everyone who values experience, relaxation and inspiration.

What does your motto "Growing together." mean?

With the Kirchheim State Garden Show, a new local park of over 100,000 square meters was created in the municipality of Kirchheim near Munich, which has already grown really well - for example with over 700 newly planted trees - and will continue to grow after the garden show. Green spaces created as part of state garden shows are preserved permanently. "Growing together." also refers to the cohesion of the previously separate districts of Kirchheim and Heimstetten, which will be brought together for the first time thanks to the new local park. Summer 2024 is an invitation to everyone to come along, enjoy the garden show and spend a great time together with many other nature lovers.

How can clubs, schools, kindergartens, institutions and artists take part in the State Garden Show?

The Landesgartenschau event team has already planned many hands-on activities, concerts, exhibitions and program items, including the "School in the Green", where kindergarten and school children of all ages can spend a day learning in the open air and then explore the garden show. Further ideas are welcome. Simply send an e-mail to: info@lgs2024.de to the garden show team.

What should you definitely see in Munich?

Did you know that Riemer Park was created for the BUGA 2005 in Munich? And that Munich's Westpark was created for the International Garden Exhibition (IGA) in 1976? Both parks have become an integral part of Munich today and are definitely worth a visit!

Typically Munich is...?

In Munich, people greet each other with "Servus". Our team of volunteers is already looking forward to welcoming you at the entrance to the Landesgartenschau Kirchheim with this Bavarian greeting!
