The young Starnberger Brauhaus stands for high-quality craft beer on Lake Starnberg. Our Starnberger beers are brewed according to traditional recipes and using state-of-the-art technology: with the best Bavarian ingredients and water from deep wells in the Alpine foothills. The result is our unique beers – ideal for small moments of enjoyment, whether at the lake, at home, or on the go.

Lake Starnberg is the second largest lake in Bavaria and one of the most attractive recreational and leisure regions in the Alpine foothills. Located just 20 kilometers from Munich, it is easily and quickly accessible to visitors. It was not until 1962 that the former “Würmsee” was given its current name – and since then it has developed into a modern local recreation area with a high quality of life.

Experience how beer is made at Lake Starnberg during a 1.5-hour brewery tour, discover the secrets of the art of brewing, and taste our Starnberg beer specialties.

What you can expect on the tour

• Tour of the brewery with detailed explanation of the individual brewing processes
• Insights into every step of the brewing process—from malt to finished beer
• If possible: sampling from the storage tank
• Information about Bavarian raw materials and their growing regions
• Introduction to our specialty beers, including tasting from the tap
• Optional: the STARNBERGER BRAUHAUS professional set with various beers, beer glass, and bottle opener to take home
