Spend the evening in the Werksviertel Mitte

Rooftop bars are generally a great place to spend a nice summer evening. One special rooftop bar is the Kulturdachgarten on the Gasteig. The rooftop garden celebrated a comeback in July 2023 after a 2-year long renovation.

They have a large terrace with three bars and a wonderful view over Munich. You can also eat really delicious food there. So nothing stands in the way of a great evening with your friends in summer.

Go to the Tollwood Festival with friends

As every year, the Tollwood Summer Festival will once again take place in the Olympiapark Süd. From 21.06-21.07. the motto is "Cohesion" and thus stands against hatred and extremism.

Admission to the grounds is free, where you will find many stalls with delicious food and drink, as well as flea market stalls and various program items. The big stage with artists such as Lena, Finch and Nina Chuba is located in the music arena. Separate tickets must be purchased for the shows. There is also a lot to do for children and young people on the Tollwood grounds. Crafting, soccer and various workshops are on offer, for example.

Stroll and dance at the Sommernachtstraum in the Olympic Park

Another event in the Olympic Park in July is the Midsummer Night's Dream on 20.07.2024. At this open-air festival you can also expect great live acts and delicious food trucks. There are two stages with a program where you can dance, sing and laugh. The main acts include Nico Santos and Stefanie Heinzmann. The peninsula stage has an open-air club atmosphere with a varied line-up. The evening will end with a firework display.
