Schongau Fairy Tale Forest
Nestled in the countryside between Schongau and Peiting, the Schongau Fairy Tale Forest invites you to enjoy a fun-filled outing for the whole family. Along a lovingly designed loop trail, you’ll encounter familiar fairy tale characters and experience the stories of the Brothers Grimm in a lively way.

Children's Museum Munich
The current exhibition at the Munich Children’s Museum, “Iss Was?” (Want to Eat Something?), is a hands-on exhibition about smell, eating, and taste. Children and adults playfully discover where our food comes from and how it’s processed: They can watch vegetables grow, “milk a cow” themselves, learn how milk is turned into butter, or find out how many apples go into a glass of juice. Grinding grain into flour and a quick shopping trip in the mock supermarket are also part of the experience.
There’s a special focus on the senses: Oversized models of the nose and tongue invite visitors to actively explore smelling and tasting. Visitors learn how the sense of taste works, why smells are important, and how our bodies process food. Interactive stations clearly demonstrate how digestion works and how we perceive different flavors.

Toy museum in the old town hall
