In the Pasing district, the Westbad welcomes you with an outdoor pool area, a sauna area and an indoor pool. The sauna and indoor pool are temporarily closed for renovation (as of July 2024), but the outdoor pool West is still open for cooling off. Children and young people in particular can look forward to the “Summer in the Pool” campaign in August 2024, where there will be great hands-on activities. Apart from that, you will always find a 50-metre pool with a swimming lane, a non-swimmers' pool, play areas for children, areas for soccer, table tennis etc., sunbathing lawns, a kiosk with a beer garden and much more! The Westbad is also barrier-free.

Flaucher at the Isar
The “Flaucher” section of the Isar floodplains is located in the Sendling district. The Flaucher is a popular place to relax with friends and family in summer, have a barbecue and go swimming. However, you are not alone and have to be prepared for lots of people around you in summer. Nevertheless, the Flaucher is a true leisure idyll! Nearby on the wooded Flaucher peninsula you will find a playground and a beer garden.
If you have the time and inclination, you can combine a visit to Hellabrunn Zoo before or after. Did you know that the CityTourCard Munich had an animal sponsorship for the sloths there for 1 year? Take a look at the corresponding blog article here 😉

Reichenbach Bridge on the Isar
Another section of the Isar for swimming, relaxing and enjoying a short break is between the Wittelsbach and Reichenbach bridges. Directly at the Wittelsbacherbrücke bridge there is still a danger spot where swimming is not permitted, but a little further downstream you can drift along the eastern side as far as the Reichenbachbrücke bridge.
If this place on the Isar is a bit too busy for you, you will certainly find a quieter spot from Großhesseloher Brücke to Thalkirchner Brücke.
