S-Bahn Birthday Tour Day 4: Panorama Tour

High up in Munich!

The fourth stop on our birthdayTOUR takes us to places where you can enjoy a great panoramic view. The S-Bahn stops are chosen so that you only have to walk a few minutes to enjoy a spectacular view over Munich.

Marienplatz: S-Bahn Stop Marienplatz

We've already introduced you to Marienplatz in the Historical Tour post. Here are some places that you should definitely climb:

Frauenkirche: the highest vantage point in the city. The south tower is now open again after more than 10 years. From 16 windows you can look in all directions from 100 meters in the tower dome and especially the details of the north tower, which is not accessible, directly up close. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Alps.

City Hall tower: with an elevator on 85 meters height

Alter Peter: 50 meters high tower, which can be climbed by taking 306 steps in a narrow staircase
