At The Golden Sausage, you’ll get a true Munich experience! Right in the heart of Munich, at Orlandostraße 4 directly on the Platzl, you’ll find a special place where traditional cuisine meets fine dining. The Golden Sausage is far more than a classic hot dog stand—here, Bavarian street food is reimagined at an exceptionally high level.

What makes it special: A Michelin-starred chef stands at the grill himself. Johann Rappenglück regularly presents a rotating “culinary highlight of the week” and gives well-known classics a creative and surprisingly sophisticated twist.

2026 Spring Festival at Theresienwiese

April 17 to May 10, 2026

Visitors to the Spring Festival can look forward to a mix of classic fairground attractions: numerous rides, colorful market stalls, and large festival tents featuring traditional Bavarian music, food, and beer create a genuine Oktoberfest atmosphere.
In addition to the fairground attractions, there is also a varied supporting program, including a huge flea market, a classic car meet, fireworks, and special family afternoons with discounted prices.
Tradition also plays a major role: The festival kicks off with a parade and the traditional tapping of the first keg, and there are events such as “Tradition Day” featuring traditional costumes, music, and dance.

Auer Dult 2026 at Mariahilfplatz

April 25–May 3, 2026

The Auer Dult 2026 will take place—as it does every year—three times at Mariahilfplatz in Munich, with the spring edition (Maidult) running from April 25 to May 3.
A unique blend of a traditional fair and a cozy folk festival awaits you: Around 250 to 300 stalls offer everything from tableware, antiques, and household goods to unusual curiosities.
There are also classic rides like the chain swing and carousels, which are a highlight especially for families and children.
Compared to Oktoberfest, the Auer Dult is much more laid-back and traditional—perfect for anyone who wants to experience authentic Munich flair away from the large crowds of tourists.
