SLYRS founder Florian Stetter had the vision of an Upper Bavarian whisky during a study trip to Scotland. He realized it in the heart of the Bavarian Alps: SLYRS has been setting standards in whisky expertise since 1999. With great attention to detail, an original in the heart of the Bavarian Alps is created in the unique distillery at Schliersee under Managing Director and master distiller Hans Kemenater: SLYRS. The SLYRS whisky distillery stands for products of the highest quality. The whisky pioneers from Upper Bavaria are true distillers of conviction. The absolute passion with which the SLYRS distillers pursue their craft is the prerequisite for the unique quality of the multiple international award-winning whiskies and liqueurs. But as one of the largest whisky producers in Germany, SLYRS is not resting on its laurels.

Quality, authenticity and Bavarian charm

Authenticity plays a major role at SLYRS. That is why only the best Bavarian grain and pure Alpine spring water from the Schliersee mountains are used for SLYRS whisky. The entire production and barrel ageing process takes place on site, giving SLYRS a thoroughly regional, Upper Bavarian character.

The whisky pioneers are constantly developing and maintaining their pioneering role on the German whisky market. Discover the liquid gold from SLYRSee directly on site in the SLYRS world of experience. Look over our shoulders as we work on the gleaming copper stills. Marvel at our valuable, well-traveled wooden barrels in the barrel hall. Smell the unmistakable "Angels' Share". And learn all about our SLYRS Bavarian Single Malt Whisky, its production and unique taste on a self-guided or guided tour of the distillery.
