Summer, sun, sunshine. For July, we’re excited to introduce a new partner: Rikscha Guide Munich! Discover Munich on a rickshaw city tour. You can find the perfect spots for swimming right here on our blog.
By the way, both the Tollwood Festival and the Men’s World Cup end on July 19, so head over to the festival or a public viewing event! Summer Festival + Reopening, July 9 & 10

After 1.5 years of renovations, the Valentin Karlstadt Musäum is reopening its doors with a grand celebration!
On July 9 at 7:00 p.m., the opening festivities will kick off with the “Saubandenabend” in the courtyard of the Isartor. Great cabaret and top-notch music will make for the perfect opening night. On Friday, July 10, at 11:01 a.m., the Valentin-Karlstadt-Musäum will officially open. Speeches will be given, horns will sound, the gates will open, and the celebration will continue all day until 10:00 p.m.

Auer Dult: Jakobidult

July 25 through August 2, 2026, Mariahilfplatz

Celebrate Summer - perhaps in traditional clothing - at the Jakobidult 2026! The stalls offer everything from tableware, antiques, and household goods to children’s toys and clothing.
There are also classic rides like the chain swing and carousels, which are a highlight especially for families and children.
Compared to Oktoberfest, the Auer Dult is much more laid-back and traditional—perfect for anyone who wants to experience authentic Munich charm away from the large crowds of tourists.
