CityTourCard Munich Tips November

When the cold season begins, it’s time once again for cozy activities! So be sure to check out the new exhibition at the Kunsthalle München: “Barcelona moderna.”
Of course, classics like Nymphenburg Palace are just as beautiful and always worth a visit. If the weather’s nice, you can easily combine your visit with a stroll through the palace gardens!

If you’d rather take some time to relax, you’ll find what you’re looking for at our partner, the Chiemgau Thermen in Bad Endorf, and can easily combine it with a short day trip.
Of course, the Christmas market season kicks off again in November. Check out our blog post to see which markets you can already visit.

November also marks the return of the Tollwood Winter Festival, featuring plenty of great booths to stroll through, eat, drink, and shop, as well as fantastic live performances.
But if you’re not really into winter, you’ll still find plenty of fall and spooky vibes at the Crime Festival, and the Water Sports Festival at the Olympiahalle captures the last bit of summer 😉

With the Munich CityTourCard, you can save money on many other attractions, so be sure to check out our article on how to use the CityTourCard.

Kunsthalle Munich - New Exhibition

The Kunsthalle München will host the exhibition “Barcelona Moderna” through February 27, 2027. The exhibition is dedicated to Catalan Modernisme: a distinct artistic movement comparable to Art Nouveau.
“The exhibition offers a fresh perspective on the artistic movement that—amid the tensions of industrialization, cultural renewal, and social change—unfolded equally in architecture, painting, sculpture, design, music, and literature. It sheds light on the cultural dynamism that made Barcelona one of the most important centers of European modernism between 1880 and 1914.”

Nymphenburg Castle

A visit to Nymphenburg Palace is well worth it even in November! The palace grounds are ablaze with autumn colors, and the sprawling grounds have a very special charm. Inside the palace, you can explore the magnificent rooms and learn about the history of the Bavarian rulers. And even if the weather isn’t ideal, a walk around the palace is a lovely way to escape the daily grind for a few hours.
